With 2021 looking like itβs mostly going to stick to virtual casting, this is a sentiment weβve been hearing a lot. β

Does it really matter, in these times, where you live?β
β
Well, π¬πͺπ―π₯π’. β
β
Hereβs the scoop.β
β
While self taping/virtual casting IS going to be around for a while longer, your location is still important information. β
β
Consider a few things:β
β
Although most productions donβt require quarantine time anymore (only frequent testing), studios/production companies are allowed to implement additional protocols if they choose. This means the potential need to quarantine for 5-10 days prior to testing and shooting. And you wonβt know the productionβs protocols until you book the job. β
β
TV works exceedingly fast. Especially episodic. And sometimes we need you to be ready for testing the DAY you book your job. Not in town? That could potentially present a problem with testing times before shooting. And thatβs assuming you can leave at the drop of a hat. β

β
Living somewhere else (either temporarily or permanently) is probably OK… but itβs extremely important that you are open and honest with your reps. Donβt try to sneak one past them. They will find out at the least convenient time possible. ππ§πͺπ¨π© πͺπ¨.β
β
Have an in-depth conversation with them. Let them know what you can and cannot do in terms of getting to a shooting location quickly. β
β
And remember: being fully vaccinated (as of now) does not exempt you from any quarantine/testing protocols. And although we love hearing how youβve received your #fauciouchi, thereβs no need to add that information in your slate. β
