Before we release a breakdown, we always have a thorough, in-depth discussion with the creative team in order to narrow down certain traits as we go through a sea of thousands of submissions. We try to get as specific as possible in the discussion (even if we don’t end up listing all these details in the breakdown)
Generally speaking, we try and put the most important requirements of the role in the beginning of the breakdown (and sometimes even in CAPS).
If you see something along the lines of “MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM LONG DISTANCES EASILY” and you can do the doggy paddle for a few minutes, please don’t submit. We’re not going to change our minds once we see your headshot.
If we’re looking for 18TPY and you’re 34 but haven’t been carded the last few times, please don’t submit. No matter how young you may look, remember that a teenager speaks, dresses, and carries themselves differently.
Once you do get an audition, remember that 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙮𝙤𝙪.
Many times, the answers you are looking for in the sides are within the breakdown. USE whatever it is that we can tell you to your advantage. Let them guide you into the choices you make.
Bottom line?
