Well, ok, we’re not on your management team.
But we ARE the people who want you to trust us and who want you to book the job.
Let’s repeat that again:
We actually (desperately even) want you to do well and book the damn job.
Actors: TV/film may have stereotyped us into snack-obsessed-audition-ruining-heathens…
But here’s the truth about how we advocate for you:
🎦 We’ll cut up your reel—scour the internet for footage to find something, 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, that will sell you to that one producer or that one network exec that is on the fence.
🎦 We’ll spend our 11th work hour watching that obscure indie you were in 7 years ago and offer to buy the assistant editor lunch in order to cut the part out that shows your “edgy” side in hopes it will seal the deal.
🎦 We’ll bring you back in, just to workshop your scene (for as long as it takes) because we know you have it in you.
🎦 We’ll search every source (for way too long) to find the perfect shot of you that will help sell you for the role even more.
🎦 We’ll chase after you (like, literally run) the second our director says something along the lines of “I really liked her, I just wish she had…”
Do you know how many times we will incessantly watch a self-tape that we think is amazing?
We’re kind of obsessed with actors.
…and we don’t do it for the recognition.
(Because #letsbereal, there is none.)
We do it because somewhere, at some point during our lives, an actor moved us.
Maybe it was during a play or a movie or a scene from our favorite TV show.
Something inspired us and we fell in love with what you do, how you do it, and the passion that drives you.
𝕎𝕖 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕠𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕤𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕥𝕖𝕒𝕞.
Remember…
A team is not just a group of people who work together.
A real team is a group of people who trust each other.
